Small Groups and Service Teams

The Sunday worship service is a wonderful and uplifting experience. We also value other opportunities to "know and be known," to forge a deeper connection with other people, or just experience the fun of shared activities.

Small Groups and other activities provide just such opportunities.

Here are some of our groups and teams that you can join:

• Spiritual Cinema Circle: An inspiring, entertaining, thoughtful monthly movie, the free flow of ideas afterward. Plenty of popcorn and soft drinks! This group meets on the 1st Friday of every month at The Gathering Place at 7 PM. Contact Arlene Thompson, (925) 426-0765, arlene_thompson@att.net.

• Labyrinth/Sharing Circle: An opportunity to walk and meditate once a month in a peaceful backyard labyrinth, followed by a time of sharing. This group meets the 4th Saturday of every month at 10 AM. Contact Gayle Staehle, (925) 828-3143, gstaehle@comcast.net.
• Book Study Group: Shares interesting, stimulating books and/or videos, thoughtful discussion, camaraderie and, as always, refreshments. Meets Wednesday mornings, 10 AM - noon. Contact Mary Bunch, (925) 455-5017, BbunchM@aol.com.
• Men's Group: Share your experiences of walking your spiritual path. A self-led group going in directions of mutual interest. This group meets the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9 - 11 AM; usually with breakfast, at The Gathering Place.
• Community Service Team: Collect items every Sunday for Food Bank, Expectant Mothers, Overseas Military, and more. Contact Mary Bunch, (925) 455-5017, BbunchM@aol.com.
• Sunday Brunch Bunch: Meets for brunch at Mimi's restaurant in Dublin after Sunday service. Contact Louise Leavitt or Greeter at church..
• Sunshine Team: Sends healing cards to congregants in need. Contact Martha Haley, (925) 443-2282, happymartha@aol.com

• Sunday Service Volunteer Teams: Provide assistance in hospitality, ushering, announcements, and music. Contact Dani Molien, wyfanatic8@yahoo.com.
• Meditation Study Group: Practices various meditations for spiritual and personal development. At the Gathering Place 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 7 - 8:30 PM. Contact Gayle Staehle, (925) 828-3143, gstaehle@comcast.net.
• Spiritual Reiki Group: Practices meditations and other techniques that lead to an experience of oneness and foster healing for self and others. For beginners and intermediates. Taught by registered Reiki master Gayle Staehle, (925) 828-3143, gstaehle@comcast.net.
